Phil Erridge began his career by serving an
apprenticeship in the drawing office of a national ductwork contractor
working on many commercial projects in London during the mid to late
eighties.
Following this he then joined BAA plc, initially within their in-house
consultancy, involved in the Stansted development and Heathrow projects.
Other positions included Building Services Manager at Gatwick and a
corporate role as Building Services Engineer giving advice to projects and
development of framework agreements.
Phil then worked for WSP achieving the position of Associate. Projects
included major extensions to public buildings, office, retail and industrial
facilities having Project Leader responsibilities. Experience was also
gained on the Terminal 5 development at Heathrow, with 18 months based on
campus, leading Building Services design input for various parts of the
project, including feasibility for the subsequent phase.
Aviation projects were conducted under the partnering agreement with BAA
plc, and Phil also became involved with the ongoing improvements necessary
to nurture such a relationship. He was part of the team charged with
designing and delivering a training package for inducting new staff to this
working environment and arrangement.
He has also gained Project Management qualifications including the
Association for Project Management Professional and Practitioner
qualifications.
Phil
Erridge became a Director of the practice in August 2007.
Phil became the sole Director of the company in
December 2015 and renamed the company to IWA M&E Consulting Engineers.
Phil then relocated the practice to more modern
premises in July 2020.
